Play across Europe with OBRA
Groombridge, southern England, UK
The impressive entrance to the playground can be reached via a stylized bridge based on “Groombridge Place”. From there you reach the surrounding corridor with covered towers, which were the focus at the beginning of the planning phase. Initially, a massive covered circular closed corridor was desired, but this was somewhat dissolved in the planning process in favor of additional small children's and inclusion play areas, as well as the preservation of old trees, and thus became a playable palisade corridor with different heights with different bridge and climbing crossings was further developed. When you enter, the playground is now clearly recognizable as a castle complex, but it opens to the rear, where there is also space for classic individual devices such as multiple swings, Viking swings, toddler combinations, various motor skills walls and a wheelchair carousel. Ring hole mats with turf were chosen as fall protection surfaces.
Different climbs with different levels of difficulty increase the game value.
